Noor Mohal

Professionally, Noor Mohal is a teacher in the New York City Education Department and has a passion for painting. She has earned her Master’s degree in Biology (M.Sc.) and earned another Masters degree in Education (M.Ed.). Mohal initially painted as a hobby, but since she is from a scientific background, she had a desire to explore various different sectors of her hobby and search for different possibilities. This desire helped her to consider artwork as not just a hobby, but a way to expand on her creativity and abilities.

Mohal was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a riverine and green country with plenty of lush, scenic views. The nature of her country influenced her to be an Artist focusing on nature and landscapes. For nearly 30 years, she has been painting, mainly focusing on Landscape, Architectural design, wild flower, Bushes and other forms of nature through the usage of material such as Oil, Acrylic, Water color and mixed media. She sold her Art work for 10 years. Her experimentation with media and color allows her to create a broader Art form. In her free time, she likes to visit Art Galleries all over New York City, and various genres of books.

Today, she’s a Lifetime member of the “Learn to Paint Academy”, and learning with Rod Moore. Because of this, in a particular sense, she likes to view herself Rod Moore’s student, as she learns a ton from him and is heavily inspired by his artistic work.
